HIya.

I just wanted to say Hi.

Been having a bit of a hard time expressing myself through writing lately. In the words of lovely dichroicynosure, I would say almost aphasic, without the head trauma. Then again, getting boffed in the face even by gloved hands might have something to do with it.

Nah, can’t be.

But I am here, and very much alive, and looking forward to getting some words down in just the perfect order very soon. I can feel them pressing on my soft palate and tickling the inside of my intercostal muscles. They’re just not ready yet, but you’ll be the first to know when they are. Funny how when we set our own standards we feel obliged to answer for remaining the tenders of that particular garden – and expect prize roses every time, even if the only seeds you have handy are for tenacious stinkweed.

So until they sprout, instead of rambling on about nothing in particular, I’ll just say, “Hello”. It’s always good to see you, and I sincerely hope that all is well with you and yours, from wherever it is you’re logging in.

Ola, mi chico!!! You know, if written words are proving mercurial and elusive, perhaps you should try dictating for a bit – see if it will tumble out orally instead…..

Are you telling me to dictate my deepest desires to you and have you fulfill them post haste?

Hi! Am in a similar boat and waving at you from upstream!
and expect prize roses every time
So true! Every time I have tried to write something of late, I have been inwardly attacking myself for only having dandelions and daisies on offer. My confused words seem to get lost in the ether. I criticise myself for not having anything more profound to say than, "Look at my holiday snaps" although I can feel that there's more in there. I just can't seem to unlock it. But until I resolve certain factors in my life, roses may indeed be unattainable. I accept this, for now. I will therefore lurk quietly and continue to send my best wishes to you all. 🙂
Your post has triggered something positive in me. I now realise that my writing, like my situation, will improve over time, if given a little room to breathe and some gentle tlc. I need to give myself a break. Yes, it is blindingly obvious but yet somehow it was hidden from my understanding until I read your post. So, thank you! Does this make sense? Or am I dribbling down my front again? 😉
Anyway until we meet again, sir, I look forward to reading all that you write and may you forever be the funkiest of funkyplaid's!

I'm so glad that you got something from it, though that's the last thing I thought would happen. Three cheers for serendipity, and for the human condition being commonly shared by more people than we at first thought.
You do need time, and a break, and things will come – be they words, hidden emotions, or red, shaggy coos. You're not dribbling down your front again, but your hair is dropping right in the soup, damnit. You really should do something about that, love. 🙂
In other news, I miss you guys immensely, and would like to see you soon, as time is running out for D in Edinburgh…

Hello back at you from another island of total inarticularity (see? I not only can't express myself right now – I can't even come up with proper words).
Not sure if its the pending nuptuals or what – but I can't write my way out of a wet paper bag – either here or in the regular book journal.
Hope you are recovered from your cold and in fine fettle.

Feeling better thanks, and it's so good to hear from you. You have good reason to be a wet noodle these days, with the Hitching Post right around the corner. And thank you so much for the overseas invitation. I only wish I could be there.
And I like the term 'inarticularity'. It fits, and rather well.

I tell ya, I would LOVE to meet up with you…and let you kick my arse. Sadly, I'll be back State-side by Hogmanay, not to return here for a few years yet…but we'll have to make another go of it sometime, regardless of locale.

I'm just commenting to say Hi, as well… I've been having weird dreams about Scotland lately, so I decided to friend some residents to get a better feel for what it's actually like. 🙂 So welcome to my friends list. You can add me back if you'd like to.

You should write a book, that is if you aren't already started.
