WTF?!

Further signs of the coming apocalypse: Thunderstorms in San Francisco!

We’re right near the beach, and the house is literally shaking from a delightful barrage of peals. Thunder always makes me feel like a little kid, which is only made more genuine by the fact that it decided to storm on my day off, leaving me still curled up in bed with a sleeping fur-ball and a wireless connection. Do I want to leave the house today? No flippin’ way!

Would it be too much to hope for a little lightning?

    O I am so jealous!
Thunderstorms are one of my most favorite things (and rarest experienced).
    Enjoy!

Ohh, I'm envious! We had a few here in Chicago so far, but I'd love to be there right now to appreciate the one you guys are having. ;>

    Sounds like perfect morning. Yum.
(When my friend Pete used to live in SF, I would call him from my cell phone, outside, during thunderstorms. He missed them.)

I saw a TON of lightning in Marin. I was just driving to COM a couple of hours ago, and it hit the ground about a mile in front of me three different times.
    Fabulous. I squealed every time.

We get about a thunderstorm a week here in the summer. Once in a GREAT while, we'll get one during a snow storm, but that's INCREDIBLY rare.
    Why no regular thunderstorms??

You have such glorious people around you bookworm. They say "yum," one of my favorite words of all time, and squeel at lightning and thunder. Yum, indeed.

I guess my bookworms have turned into lightning bugs.
    I love these people.

    You like thunder? Cool.
Hey, one thing I know you'd like about Philadelphia, then.
OK, two – lots of used bookstores.
